Standing on Top of the Opportunity Tower

Goose bumps. Every time I see the footage of me getting back in the game, it fires me up. I remember the feeling of pure euphoria from that night.

I remember raising my arms up in the air and screaming, “DRAGO, I DID IT!!!!!” from the top of the tower.  

That was in honor of Rocky IV when Rocky Balboa climbs the huge mountain in preparation with his fight against Ivan Drago. I had that same feeling when Gabby announced I had won that night and got back in the game.

Today’s “Dose of Durkin” is about opportunity, and seizing the opportunities in your life.

One of my favorite quotes of all time is:

The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.

The pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity.

 

Which one are you? Are you an optimist or are you a pessimist?

 

I have found that people like hanging out with people that are more positive.

And people like to avoid people that are energy vampires and energy “sucks.”

 

Is the glass half-full or half-empty?

 

Choose to be an OPTIMIST today. After all, it is a CHOICE.

 

See the opportunities in all your obstacles, challenges, and issues you face. Because after all, that’s what they are. #Opportunities
